Photographer, Darren Tieste founded this project in February 2009 after he lost his dear friend, Natalie Sattler Esposito to Brain Cancer in September 2008, she was 35 years old. This is one friend’s life that was cut way to short, so he used all his Hollywood connections to give brain cancer a voice and The Beauty Book was born. In April 2010, he was introduced to an amazing person “Pantera” Sarah Uphoff, whose mom at the time was battling brain cancer, Louise Uphoff. Pantera joined forces with him to rally many of her celebrity friends to be photographed for The Beauty Book. During the 2nd year of photographing people for this project her mom Louise, lost her battle with this disease in July 2011.
Miley joined the Dec. 4, 2011 Event for The Trevor Project at the Hollywood Palladium.

The Miley Show Returns To SNL
"Saturday Night Live" did not exactly have many great ideas early in the show (remember the Frozen Mexican Dinner sketch?), but we did have one major highlight before the first musical performance -- the return of The Miley Cyrus Show!
Vanessa Bayer was just as on-point as always in her portrayal of Miley, but one of the real moments of hilarity came when we were reminded about the former "Hannah Montana" star's "stoner" comment made during her 19th birthday party. This led to her introducing us to a random dude she met at Burning Man named "Jeff," and soon after she was getting "advice" from a fake version of Whitney Houston. (Yes, that was Maya Rudolph tackling this part.)
While this did not stack up to the great Miley shows of the past (including the one with Miley actually playing Justin Bieber), but it certainly was more entertaining.
What did you think of this sketch?

Miley to voice Adam Sandler's daughter in 'Hotel Transylvania'
Dracula, meet your daughter, Miley Cyrus. Miley is joining the all-star cast of Sony Picture Animation’s Hotel Transylvania as the über-vamp’s teenage daughter Mavis.
Adam Sandler is voicing the famous blood-sucker, who builds the titular resort for all manner of monsters (and their families) as a way of keeping Mavis from venturing out into the real world. Things get tricky after a regular guy (voiced by Andy Samberg) ends up at the hotel.
Miley will be in some great comic company, too. Among the actors playing the various horror-story creatures checking into the Hotel: Kevin James (Frank, i.e. Frankenstein), Fran Drescher (Eunice, i.e. Bride of Frankenstein), David Spade (Griffin, the Invisible Man), David Koechner (Quasimodo), Cee Lo Green (Murray the Mummy), and Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon as a pair of werewolves with an overwhelmingly large litter.

Miley Cyrus Gets Facebook Fans Talking About Hearing Loss Prevention
Miley gets Facebook fans talking about hearing loss prevention to Kick Off Starkey Hearing Foundation’s Listen Carefully ‘Vow to Act’ Initiative
As part of its Listen Carefully campaign, which sends the message ‘don’t listen loudly, listen carefully,’ Starkey Hearing Foundation is once again teaming with Miley to encourage teens and young adults to take a “vow to act” to protect their hearing, and spread the word to others to do the same. In fact, according to a Starkey Hearing Foundation poll of more than 200 Miley Cyrus Facebook fans, 87 percent vowed to make the commitment to protect their own hearing, with the same percentage saying they would pass the message along to their friends and family.
A committed supporter of Starkey Hearing Foundation, which strives to change the social consciousness of hearing and hearing health care, Miley recently hosted a series of questions from the Foundation on her Facebook page as a first step in getting young people to take the Listen Carefully ‘Vow to Act.’
In addition to those who said they would take action to protect their own hearing by lowering the volume on their MP3 players and iPods, 56 percent of respondents reported having experienced some difficulty hearing their teacher during class. This is consistent with reports of rising trends in hearing loss among young people – an issue that Starkey Hearing Foundation’s Listen Carefully campaign is trying to address.
Some tips from Starkey Hearing Foundation that can easily be shared on Facebook and Twitter include:
Lowering the volume on your MP3 player, iPod or cell phone
Using background noise-canceling headphones when listening to music
Getting your hearing checked on a regular basis
Wearing the proper ear protection gear if you’ll be in an environment where loud sounds are customary
Encouraging friends and family to also take the vow to act to protect their hearing
To keep the momentum going, Twitter users can use #ListenCarefully to hear what people are saying about hearing loss prevention, join the conversation, and learn what actions others are taking to protect their hearing.
“I’m thrilled to support Starkey Hearing Foundation and its Listen Carefully Vow to Act initiative and I want all of my fans to help get the conversation started about hearing loss and encourage others to take care of their hearing,” said Miley”. Our ability to hear is fragile and we have to take care of it daily so that we can enjoy and appreciate music and the sounds that surround us each and every day.”

Lucky for us, only Miley Cyrus is going "So Undercover" in her forthcoming action-comedy. "Revenge" star Joshua Bowman will remain plenty recognizable (and cute!) playing her love interest. Not that we're jealous or anything.
The movie revolves around a young woman named Molly who snags a job with the FBI to penetrate a sorority and protect a mobster's daughter. It co-stars Jeremy Piven, Mike O'Malley, Kelly Osbourne and, of course, Joshua.
"I play a guy called Nicholas. He meets Miley's character [at college]. We meet and we're in the same class, and we kind of strike up this interest for each other," the actor explained. "And then she's onto me cause she thinks I'm the bad guy, which I think I could be… but I don’t think I am."
While there is a romantic undercurrent between Nick and Molly in the film (set for release in early 2012), it's really more about the action. "It becomes a small love story. Well, it's not a love story cause it's action, but it’s a comedy as well… There are twists and turns, and you'll see who the real bad guy is. It's poppy. It's fun," Josh teased, adding that he even gets in on the action, albeit with some mixed results.
"I get beat up twice: once by her and once by Jeremy Piven's character. I got beat up, so that’s not good. Nick got beat up; I didn’t get beat up," he said, but his bravado didn't hold up when pressed about the whole getting-beat-up thing. "Miley would kill me. She knows kung fu," he added. Credit MTV.COM

Miley Rocks New Do on 'Prestige' Cover
Miley sports a new hairdo and on Prestige’s September 2011 cover. At one glance of the September 2011 cover of Prestige magazine and you’d swear you’re looking at a younger and vibrant Sophia Loren or Raquel Welch, two women who graced the covers of many mags in their time.
Miley’s latest upcoming project at the box office is So Undercover. You’ll still get the humor from the Hannah Montana character — sort of. But her acting in this role is based on another dynamic not seen on-screen before.
“I’ve got kind of a weird, dark sense of humor, really dry humor, so I would love to do more comedies. But not the comedies that people have seen me in. There’s a comedy that I’m working on now and it’s something a little darker,” she told Prestige. Rock on girl, rock on! Credit.MileyCyrus.com

Miley Launches Her New Clothing Line in UK
It’s no secret that Miley Cyrus has always been a strong fashion icon especially among her fans who were always fascinated by the projects the young singer and actress has had over the years. Well those in the UK who wanted to have Miley closer to them will now have the chance as she just launched her new clothing line there in the presence of hundreds of fans.
It seems that 2010 will be a highly profitable year for many celebrities from the music and acting industry, especially for those who participated in many projects related to the fashion and beauty industry.
After being recognized as a powerful fashion icon for many years it seems that the beautiful singer decided to launch a clothing line called Miley and Max for George at Asda.
Her British fans were definitely ecstatic about her initiative especially since she went at Derby herself to greet her fans and to give autographs. Although the collection for which Miley teamed up with the well known Max Ariza was already released in US, her British fans had to wait a little longer to benefit from the latest creations inspired by Miley.
However the delay doesn’t seem to have affected the desire of her fans and in certain ways it appears it was even intensified by the anticipation. Unsurprisingly, the location was soon filled with hundreds of devoted fans for who wanted to meet the their idol in person. However from the thousand of fans that gathered to see her only some of them managed to see her.
Like Miley Cyrus’s PR declared: “The response has been overwhelming – everybody loves Miley. There’s probably about five or six hundred people here today but thousands and thousands of people actually wanted to come in and see Miley and see the new line that she’s been doing with George but unfortunately she just couldn’t see everyone.”
The teen idol managed to put the sadness caused by her parents divorce aside for a moment and she managed to smile and give hundreds of autographs to the fans that have come from all parts of the UK to see her. For the occasion she managed to look gorgeous as usual and chose a classic combination of black and white that complimented her tanned skin superbly.
The collection, which includes various shirts, tops, t-shops as well as jeans comes at surprisingly affordable price ranges which means that these items will soon be sold out as the demand is undoubtedly very high. All the pieces in the collection are extremely versatile in the sense they can be easily mixed and matched in various different styles.
Note: This article was published on August 1. although I think the line has actually been available in the UK since about November 2010.

She moved in a few months ago," a Cyrus source tells us of the home purchased by the Sunshine Girl Trust, also the name of one of Miley's songs. "She decorated the place in her own unique style—very funky."Hmmm, we're guessing no Jonas Brothers posters are gracing Miley's bedroom walls—but there was plenty to decorate!
The home comes not badly equipped: There are five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a saltwater pool, spa, gym, panoramic views, a professional style kitchen (for all that home-cooking Miles does) and one of those California-livin' indoor/outdoor floor plans which are totally cool for parties that last the entire weekend.
And all this deluxe real estate's in the most private of locales, where the teen queen can do whatever she wants without getting caught by pesky paparazzi—or anyone else for that matter.
According to the home's website, it is "the perfect celebrity hideaway," complete with gates that surround the hilltop compound.
Now Miley, cut the cig habit before you burn the house down!

Miley Adds New God-Themed Flick To Busy Schedule
With two movies already in the can—October’s “So Undercover” and “LOL”—it seems that Miley Cyrus and her Gypsy Heart are getting ready to tackle the topic of religion in a film that she’s reportedly going to produce with her mama, Tish, under their production banner, Hope Town Entertainment.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the flick will revolve around a broken promise to God. That’s about all anyone knows. That and it will be a comedy written by Sam Brown and Jack Angelo. Sounds funny to us?
This is just the latest movie added to Miley’s roster—she has a number of other projects simmering, as well. She’s been long-rumored to star in not one, but two YA adaptations. Back in June 2010, she was attached to the supernatural thriller “Wake,” and a year before she had been rumored to have a part in the fairy novel adaptation of “Wings.”
Keeping in the tone of those other supernatural-themed projects, earlier this year there had been some talk that a team was working to adapt her part in the Rock Mafia’s short film/music video for the “Big Bang” (which also starred hottie Kevin Zegers) for the big screen.

We like to shake things up here in Style Superstar land. Sometimes, we honor celebs with consistently killer style, like Emma Watson and Nina Dobrev. Other times, we recognize stars who burst onto our radar after sporting a fabulous outfit, like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Rosa Byrne. This week, we’re rewarding one of young Hollywood’s finest celebs for pulling a phenomenal fashion 180: teen queen Miley Cyrus.
Miley’s made headlines for some very revealing outfits on her recent world tour, but she emerged at a benefit for the Starkey Hearing Foundation in Minnesota this week wearing a stunning, sophisticated and, yes, very sexy black dress. The asymmetrical, one-sleeved gown fits her rockin’ bod like a glove. It’s mature, but with hot orange nails, subtle bikini top tan lines and undone hair. We hope this sleek, understated sex appeal continues in her future red carpet appearances.

We almost didn’t recognize Miley Cyrus on the red carpet last night in St. Paul for the 11th annual Starkey Hearing Foundation Awards Gala.
Miley, who was among celebs including Whoopi Goldberg, Gary Busey, Kevin Coster and Garth Brooks, told the local MyFox9 TV station that it was her “first Starkey trip this year” and she hopes to stay involved. She said her family has “connected through music” and so if one of them “couldn’t hear and be involved in the music with me, that connection wouldn’t be the same.” She changed into a different outfit for her performance at the party.
Miley tweeted that she bid on - and won - a trip to Haiti and plans to take “all my friends.”
In addition to raising money for the foundation, which provides hearing aids to children around the world, the gala also honored Bill Clinton, Marlee Matlin and others for their humanitarian work.

Miley headed out of LAX today for a trip with her adorable puppy, an Alaskan Klee Kai.
Billy Ray has revealed why he originally called his daughter Destiny Hope, before she changed her name to Miley Cyrus.
In an interview with Piers Morgan this week, the country singer told the talk show host that he thought the Party In The U.S.A. singer would bring “hope” to people.
“This was Miley’s dream. This was her - I believe to touch people’s lives. Through her music and her life,” he told Piers. “I still believe that.
“You know, her name was originally Destiny Hope, I had given her the name before she was born because I had a vision. I felt it was her destiny to bring hope to the world.
“When I see her selling out arenas around the world or on her TV show, making people laugh, bringing families into the living room together, we always, try to put positive messages in each episode if we could.
“And, you know, I do think that she - this is her purpose - her path.”
The Runway Light singer added about the LOL actress: “Miley really, really has a good heart. And she loves people. She loves music. She loves entertaining.
“There’s a lot of things that Miley does that I wouldn’t go into right now on a humanitarian basis. But Miley is a great humanitarian. She really cares about her fellow man, and people, and the planet and animals.”

TWEEN sensation Miley Cyrus is growing up fast, as she showed her Adelaide fans at the Entertainment Centre last night.
The 18-year-old was a commanding rock star with undeniable stage presence.
Relying on nothing more than her voice and a powerful band, this was no fairy-tale pantomime.
Cyrus threw out the hits as fast as the young female audience could handle them. Party in the USA came on early with shrieking screams from the sell-out crowd before the former Disney starlet hit memory lane, referencing some of the female music icons who have influenced her.
A Joan Jett medley of I Love Rock and Roll, Cherry Bomb and Bad Reputation had mums and dads singing along while Robot and the rocking Kicking and Screaming sent glow sticks up in the air.
More covers ensued including Poison’s Every Rose Has Its Thorn which softened things up alongside Forgiveness and Love, where Cyrus channeled Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks.
Then it was on to the much-talked about version of Smells Like Teen Spirit.
But for all the negative publicity from grunge purists here’s a point to consider - if 100 kids head out and purchase a Nirvana album it’s most certainly a good thing.
Cyrus delivered a highly polished live performance - a rarity for most musicians, especially one her age.

Style Superstar: Miley Scores A Perfect 10!
posted on Jul 30, 2011

Miley Cyrus Performs at Starkey Gala
posted on Jul 25, 2011

Billy Ray Thought Miley Would Bring "Hope" To The World
posted on Jul 14, 2011
